The day started rough. The kind of offshore morning where the the ride out is choppy, and you start wondering if it’s going to be one of those trips. But we stuck with it.
By midday, things started to settle down. The ocean calmed just enough, and then it happened — Leah hooked up with her first blue marlin.
I was behind the camera the whole time, watching her work through the fight. What stood out most wasn’t just the catch (though it was a solid fish), but how she and her husband Trey handled it together. He coached her through every moment — patient, steady, and supportive. They made a strong team, and it was cool to witness that dynamic in action.
After a clean release, Leah was fired up, and honestly, so was I. These are the moments that make being out there worth it — not just the fish, but what happens between the people on the boat.

And if you’ve got an offshore adventure coming up and want your own epic moment captured—I’d love to film it for you. Whether it’s your first marlin or just a day chasing what’s biting, these are the memories that deserve to be preserved.

See you out there,
