All-Girls Fishing Trip: A Day of Adventure Aboard Ramblin’ Man Sportfishing

This past Sunday, I had the privilege of bringing together an incredible crew of women for an all-girls fishing trip aboard Ramblin’ Man Sportfishing out of Morehead City, NC. With the sun rising over the water, we set out for a day of fishing, fun, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Aboard the Ramblin’ Man, a 55’ custom Carolina sportfisher, we were ready for whatever the ocean had to offer. The boat was prepped, the energy was high, and the excitement in the air was undeniable. There’s something about being out on the water that instantly brings people together, and this trip was no exception. Every woman aboard was excited, ready to get hands-on, and eager for the thrill of the chase.

The fish weren’t the only thing making waves. From the start, the energy was contagious. We landed a solid haul, but it was the camaraderie, the laughs, and the shared triumphs that truly set this trip apart. And of course, no fishing trip is complete without a bit of celebration.

After a successful day on the water, our nurse, Chelsey, made sure we capped off the trip with a bit of fun. We broke out the Jell-O shots (served up straight from syringes, of course) and toasted to an unforgettable day. It’s always good to have a nurse on board—especially when you’re celebrating the victory of an epic day on the water.

This trip wasn’t just about fishing; it was about building a community of women who share a passion for the sea and the thrill of sportfishing. We spent the day supporting each other, swapping stories, and celebrating each other’s victories—both big and small. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do, and why creating spaces for women in the fishing world is so important.
