There’s a new wave rising on the East Coast, and it’s powered by women who fish.
When I opened up spots for a girls-only offshore fishing trip out of Morehead City, North Carolina, I figured it might take a few days to fill. I was wrong—in the best way possible. All spots were claimed in under five hours.
It’s clear: women are hungry for space on the water, and they’re not waiting for an invitation anymore. They’re making one.

This trip, set aboard Ramblin’ Man Sportfishing, is more than just a day of chasing mahi, tuna, and whatever else bites—it's about community, confidence, and connection. The interest and energy were so strong that I’m already looking at dates for a second trip this summer.
What makes this special? It’s not just about fishing (though don’t get me wrong—we’re here to put lines in and bend rods). It’s about creating a vibe where women can show up as themselves, swap stories, learn from each other, and walk off the dock feeling stronger than when they stepped on.
Morehead City offers access to some of the best offshore action on the East Coast, and Ramblin’ Man is a top-notch operation that knows these waters inside and out. Pair that with a group of motivated, adventurous women, and you’ve got a recipe for an unforgettable trip.
If you missed out on this one, don’t worry. The response made it loud and clear—we need more of this. I’ll be planning another all-women charter soon, and whether you're a seasoned angler or looking to reel in your first catch, there’ll be a spot for you.
Stay salty and stay tuned. The future of fishing? She’s fierce—and she’s just getting started.
