We spent this past Memorial Day weekend soaking up the salt air in Manteo, North Carolina, and made a few early morning trips to one of our favorite spots—the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center.
We had the chance to ride along with Moana Sportfishing to document some of their offshore charter trips, and let’s just say—it was an absolute blast. Being out on the water, surrounded by good people, and watching a skilled crew in action never gets old.
Captain Brad and his mate Nick run a tight ship aboard Moana, a 55’ Buddy Cannady Custom Carolina sportfisher. We weren’t fishing ourselves this time, but we were there to capture video content—and we can’t wait to share the footage with you.
Between the sunrises on the open water, the open ocean runs, and all the energy that comes with chasing big fish offshore, it was an incredible experience that reminded us why we love this coast so much.
🎣 Stay tuned—we’ve got videos coming soon that’ll bring you right onto the boat with us. Make sure you follow @eastcoastsaltwaterliving and @moanasportfishing on all the major social platforms to see all the videos.
We highly recommend Moana Sportfishing if you're looking to book an unforgettable offshore experience out of Oregon Inlet. Whether you're chasing tuna, mahi, wahoo, or billfish, this crew knows how to put you on the fish and make the day one to remember.
Also—would anyone be interested in a full list of our recommended fishing charters up and down the North Carolina coast? We’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible captains and crews from the Outer Banks to the southern coast, and we’d love to share our favorites with you.
Drop a comment or message us if that’s something you’d like to see!
A few teasers from this past weekend.
